Lightning Protection of Apparatuses and Systems
Lightning strike is the most dangerous natural threat for aircrafts and their systeemv-beratung. The lightning strike might induce extremely high currents in the fuselage and by the way of induction, there is a high risk for destruction of electronic systems and even for the ignition of the fuel. The natural risk is increasing by the application of new plastics material e.g. for car-construction. Therefore, special measures have to be taken to protect the occupants against the dangerous effects of lightning strikes.
