HIRF and HPM Protection
Radio stations, radar systems, transmitters of airplanes or ships produce high power electromagnetic fields (HIRF). Those fields might cause damage on communication or navigation equipment of airplanes or cars, they might crash electronic systems or block motor and engine control systems.
Especially for military applications, high power microwave systems have to be taken as a serious threat, because they might be even more disastrous for electronic equipment than HIRF.
