EMC News 4/2000:
Start of the research programme EM-HAZ
The CEC has accepted within the 5th framework programme the research proposal EM-HAZ ("Methods and Technologies for Aircraft Safety and Protection") which has been submitted by an international consortium. The project investigates methods and tools for the improvement of safety and the protection of aircraft and electronic equipment against electro-magnetic hazards such as lightning or interfering transmitters onboard. EM-HAZ will start from the results of the former research activities CATE and FULMEN.
